Kathy L. Ross

Kathy L. Ross, age 52, of Shelocta, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born October 23, 1959 in Indiana, PA, to Harold F. and Lois Jane (Anderson) Farster.

Kathy was a lifetime resident of the area and dedicated her life to caring for her family. She loved cats and one of her favorite hobbies was watching television-especially her two favorite shows, "The Waltons" and "Little House on the Prairie". Kathy will be best remembered for her fun sense of humor; she loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Her family and friends will always remember her fun and loving personality, and she will be greatly missed.

Her memory will be cherished by her parents, Harold F. and Lois Jane Farster, of Plumcreek Twp.; loving husband of 29 years, Tim Ross, who she married October 23, 1982; daughters, Crystal Stewart and companion, Jeremy Hemke, of South Bend Twp., and Tonya Polka and husband, Jared, of Washington, PA; grandchildren, Madeline Hemke and Christian and Trinety Polka; brother, Ronald Farster and wife, Bunnie, of Whitesburg; and sister, Shirley Stubrich and husband, Dennis, of Whitesburg.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, June 1, 2012, at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, 238 South Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Keith R. Black officiating.

Burial will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, PA.
