Dasibel Reedy
Dasibel Reedy, age 89, formerly of Templeton, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, June 6, 2012.She was born August 17, 1922 in Templeton to Ralph and Fern (Keesey) Jack.
Dasibel married Willard M. "Gype" Reedy on August 25, 1938, and they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage until he died October 29, 1992. They had four children, infant daughter Carol Lee Reedy, who died August of 1940, Gloria Atherton and husband, Rich, of Kittanning, Gay Zolocsik and husband, John, of Beyer, PA, and Timothy M. Reedy and wife, Cassandra, of Kittanning.
She loved the Lord, the church and her family. Dasibel had praises for the Lord and her Salvation was of the Utmost. She was a wonderful mother who was loved greatly by her family. Her great-great-granddaughter, Madelyn Paige Graham, called her "Grandma Daisy" and the two of them always enjoyed sharing their favorite treat, Milky Way bars. She also enjoyed shopping and going to the mall.
In her early life, Dasibel attended the Templeton Methodist Church, was a member of the Templeton Church of God and also attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She was currently a member of the First Church of God in Kittanning. She also belonged to the Gideons and the Missionary Society. Dasibel also enjoyed teaching Sunday school for a number of years. Along with her husband, they operated the Quaker State Gas Station and Store along Route 422. Those who knew her will always remember her kind and gentle spirit and the love she had for her Lord and her family.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lori Luke and husband, Turney, Richy Atherton and wife, Faith, Daniel Zolocsik and wife, Patty, Gregory Reedy, and Lindsay Monihen and husband, Keith; great-grandchildren, Tiffany Graham and husband, Andrew, Tyler Luke and fiancée, Kim Harris, Michael Atherton, Marissa Atherton, Mason Atherton, Alex Zolocsik, Thomas Zolocsik, Brayden Zolocsik, Zack Zolocsik and Carrie Juart; great-great-granddaughter, Madelyn Paige Graham; sister, Donna Master, of Templeton; sisters-in-law, Leone Reedy and Barbara Jack, both of Templeton; several nieces and nephews; and good friend, Mary Martin.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dasibel was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Fuhs and brothers, Ray and Robert Jack.
Friends will be received from 7-9 PM on Friday, June 8, 2012 and from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning.
Additional visitation will be from 1 PM until the time of funeral services at 2 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the First Church of God, 629 Woodward Ave., Kittanning, with the Rev. Dr. Stan Schilffarth officiating.
Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Armstrong Co.
