Marjorie C. Wadding

Marjorie C. Wadding, 90, of Dayton, PA, died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 8, 1922 in Hastings, PA to George E. and Grace E. (Fyock) Mason.

Marjorie graduated from Plumville High School in 1941 and married Walter Bruce Wadding on May 30th of that same year. She was a resident of Dayton ever since and dedicated the early part of her life to caring for her family. For 12 years Marjorie worked as a folder at Big River Manufacturing Company in Kittanning, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church and also belonged to Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 72 in Punxsutawney. Creativity was one of her many gifts, and in her spare time enjoyed sewing, ceramics, restoring dolls and working in her beautiful flower gardens.

Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Robert B. Wadding, of Cleburne, TX and William G. Wadding and wife, Melissa, of Dayton, PA; daughter, Constance J. McCafferty and husband, John, of Dayton, PA; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; brother, George Mason and wife, Marcella, of Baden, PA; sister, Gladys Anderson, of Baden, PA; brother-in-law, Myron P. Wadding, of Denver, CO; and favorite cat, Pusser.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 61 years, Walter Bruce Wadding, who passed away November 25, 2002; brothers, Roger Mason and Robert Mason; and sisters, Jean Brawner and Joyce Mason.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 2540 Dayton Smicksburg Rd., Dayton, with Pastor Melissa Goodman officiating.

Burial will be in Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Cemetery, Dayton, Pennsylvania.
