Bernice I. Crow

Bernice I. Crow, 84, of Templeton, PA, died on Friday, July 19, 2013, at Laurelbrooke Personal Care Home, Brookville, PA.

She was born on February 21, 1929, in Madison Twp., PA, the daughter of David Aaron and Mary (Myers) Crow.

Bernice graduated from Kittanning High School and a member of the Widnoon Methodist Church. During her working life she was employed by several companies which included the Marx Toy Company of Erie; Sylvania of Brookville; Goodrich Tire and Rubber of DuBois; and GTE in Warren in accounts payable prior to retirement. Bernice enjoyed quilting, traveling, and playing golf. An avid bowler, she previously belonged to a bowling league in Kittanning. A true people person, Bernice enjoyed socializing and being in the company of others. Although she never had children of her own, she fulfilled the role of mother by nurturing, supporting, and mentoring from infancy many of her nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Maida P. Crow of Kittanning, and Sally Head of Bremen, GA; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Kroh of Middleburg, PA and Susan Crow of Live Oak, TX; brother-in-law, Michael Amoroso of Pittsburgh; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, David Paul Kroh, Robert S. Kroh, and Richard "Duane" Crow; four sisters, Mary Jane Lewis, Dolores Quint, Betty Jo Amorosa, and Nancy Buzzard.

Relatives and friends will be received from 12:00PM until the time of funeral services at 2:00PM on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, with the Rev. John W. Snyder officiating.

Burial will follow at Tidal Cemetery, Madison Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.
