Janice I. Morris

Janice I. Morris, age 80, of Kittanning, PA, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born January 3, 1933 in Kittanning, the daughter of OJ McCullough and Naomi (Bell) Christy.

Janice was a lifetime resident of the area and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kittanning. She worked as a postal carrier for the US Postal Service and also belonged to the Ladies Card Club. She married John A. Morris on December 2, 1952, and together they ran a family farm stand on East Brady Road, selling corn and pumpkins. Janice will be best remembered for her caring spirit and for devoting her life to her family.

She is survived by her sons, Lawrence John Morris and wife, Marian, of Kittanning, Gary Allen Morris, of Kittanning, Randall Lee Morris and wife, Cindy, of Indiana, PA, and Andrew Ryan Morris, of Kittanning; daughter, Shari Kay Cousins and husband, Joseph, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Shana Lynne Morris, Erin Johanna Dunmire and husband, Nicholas, Brandy Lynn Miller and husband, Terry, Randall Lee Morris Jr. and wife, Andrea, Christy Elaine Schrecengost and husband, Samuel, Corey Adam Morris, Alyssa Janelle Cousins, and Sean Joseph Cousins; and great-grandsons, Wyatt Allen Morris and Garrett Allen Dunmire.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, John A. Morris, who passed away August 12, 2012.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services 11 AM on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. A. David Meneely officiating.

Interment will be at Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
