Anna Mae (Walter) GuntrumAnna Mae (Walter) Guntrum, age 70, of Rimersburg, PA, died on Thursday, September 12, 2013.
She was born in Mercer County on June 30, 1943, the daughter of Wayne Walter and Bernice (Saylor) Switzer.
Anna Mae was a lifetime resident of Rimersburg and was of the Protestant faith. She had previously been employed by the Combined Insurance Company for many years and before that she drove the big rigs with then husband Wilbert Smith. She was a member of the Rimersburg and Clarion VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries. She enjoyed playing bingo and was always very lucky winning many times. She loved traveling, remodeling her home, her family and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Levi R. Guntrum, Jr. and Jeanne of Cooksburg, PA, Rodney E. Guntrum and wife Cheryl, of Rimersburg, Mark W. Guntrum of Rimersburg, Eric R. Guntrum and friend Beth of Butler, PA; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; brothers, Gary Shaw and wife Sharon of Clintonville, PA, Thomas Walter and wife Cheri of Harrisville, PA, John Walter of Clintonville, PA, sister, Kathryn Winslow and fiancÚ Richard Willenpart of Rimersburg, second husband Wilbert Smith and several nieces and nephews
Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her children, Levi R. Guntrum, Sr.; infant brother, Samuel Walter; and nephew, Arthur Winslow.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main St., Rimersburg.
Additional visitation will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 until the time of funeral services at 1 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Brent J. Herren.
Burial will follow in St. Eusebius Cemetery, East Brady, PA.
