LaRue Ilene Buterbaugh

LaRue Ilene Buterbaugh, 91, of Sligo, PA, formerly of Indiana, PA, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Clarview Nursing Home.

She was born March 25, 1922 in Indiana, PA to Harvey and Lillia (Moyer) King.

LaRue graduated from the Purchase Line School District and married Carl Buterbaugh on April 3, 1943. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Curllsville and also belonged to the Red Hat Society. LaRue was happiest when working in her beautiful and abundant flower gardens, and in her daily reading of the Lord's word in the Bible.

Her memory will be cherished by her son, Warren Carl Buterbaugh, of Greensburg; daughter, Jennifer DeVee Sczerba and husband, Douglas, of Cody, WY; grandsons, Shawn M. Buterbaugh and Jason Sczerba; great-grandchildren, Conner and Aiden Buterbaugh, and Ava Tammy Buterbaugh; and brother, Boyzy J. King, of Elyria, OH.

LaRue was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Carl "Sam" Buterbaugh, who died April 8, 2002.

At the family's request, services will be private.

Private burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery, Glen Campbell, PA.
