Michelle Lynn SwartzMichelle Lynn Swartz, 30, of Templeton, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at her residence.
She was born August 24, 1983 in Kittanning, the daughter of John W. and Viola "Jean" (Rush) Swartz.
Michelle was a life-long resident of Templeton and graduated from Redbank Valley High School in 2001. She attended Slippery Rock University and worked at Sheetz as a cashier. Michelle attended New Athens Church of God of Prophecy and above all cherished the time spent with her family; she especially enjoyed all the children in the family and her dog, Bentley, had a special place in her heart. "Selfless" was how her friends and family will remember her. Michelle was non-judgmental and always put herself last. Even throughout her illness, she never hesitated to help those in need and was available for whoever needed her. Michelle's loving and caring personality will never be forgotten by those who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, John W. and Viola "Jean" Swartz, of Templeton; brothers, John "Joe" Swartz and wife, Shellie, of Saxonburg, and Paul J. "PJ" Snyder; sisters, Barbara Crissman and husband, Keith, of Widnoon, Terry Good, of Smicksburg, Lisa Lemley, of Ford City, Belinda Crissman and husband, Rick, of Templeton, and Jani Shearer and husband, Ryan, of Kittanning; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Michelle was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Elmer S. Rush; maternal step-grandmother, Velma Rush; nephew, Hayden Swartz; brother-in-law, Larry Good; and special uncle, Walter Rush.
The family will receive friends from 4-9 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning.
At Michelle's wishes, services will be private.
