John Henry Douglas

John Henry Douglas, 62, of Dayton, PA, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at his home.

He was born February 7, 1954 in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of James and Margaret (Rudolph) Douglas.

John was a resident of Dayton who graduated from Leto High School in Tampa, FL. His career with Apollo Gas spanned over 30 years. He was a member of New Hope Assembly of God and enjoyed collecting arrowheads, records and antique GE Christmas lights. John's hobbies included building rockets, reading the Bible and caring for his dog, Gracie. Most of all, John loved Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.

He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Nicole Wills, of Grand Rapids, MI, and Jamie Douglas, of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Jackson Wills and Hazel Wills; sister, Margaret "Ann" Douglas-Jamison; best friends, Judith Bronson and Robert "Jeff" Carrick; and dog, Gracie Douglas.

John was preceded in death by his parents, James Douglas and Margaret Rudolph Douglas; newborn son, Shane Douglas; and brothers, Arthur "Boo" Douglas and James "Jimmers" Douglas.

John's wishes included a celebration of his life and reunion with Jesus, which will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at New Hope Assembly of God, 9500 State Route 85, NuMine, PA, with Pastor Steve Kromer officiating.
