Lois Jean Claypool
Mrs. Lois Jean (King) Claypool, age 81 of Shelocta, PA, died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at her home.
She was born November 1, 1928 in Burrell Twp., Armstrong Co., PA to Walter R. and Martha B. (Smith) King.
Mrs. Claypool was a member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church of Plumcreek Township and the Elderton Fire Department's Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
She is survived by her son, James Clair Claypool with whom she made her home; two daughters, Shirley Jane Claypool with whom she made her home and Patricia Ann Kois & husband Richard Jr. of Homer City, PA and one brother, John V. King and his wife Beverly of Vandergrift, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray Clair Claypool whom she married September 12, 1953 and who died May 12, 2005; one brother, Charles E. King and one sister, Nellie K. King.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA.
Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the Mt. Union Lutheran Church of Plumcreek Twp. from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM with the Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Union Lutheran Cemetery in Plumcreek Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.
Memorial contributions may be given to Mt. Union Lutheran Church, 1051 Girty Road, Shelocta, PA 15774.
