Linda L. Bresnock
Linda L. Bresnock, age 64, of Home, PA, died suddenly at her home on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.
She was born February 3, 1946, in Derby, CT, the daughter of Wallace and Evelyn (Walsh) Marchand.
Linda was a member of the Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church. She was the South Mahoning Tax Collector, and had also worked for County Market in Punxsutawney and the Mahoning Cheese factory. Linda enjoyed going to the Dayton Fair and had volunteered at the concession stand. A fabulous cook, she earned several ribbons for her baking and canning entries.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 38 years, Robert L. Bresnock; a daughter, Kelly M. Learn and husband Terry of Home, PA; a son, Douglas R. Bresnock and wife Amy of Smicksburg, PA; three grandchildren, Morgan, Alyson, and Griffin Bresnock; two sisters, Jeanne E. VanHouten and husband Cecil of Whitney, PA and Martha A. Marchand of Strasburg, VA; a brother, W. Victor Marchand and partner, John Happ; four sisters-in-law, Nancy M. Rosenberger and husband Robert of Millersville, MD, Thelma Haag and husband Robert of Punxsutawney, PA, Betty Shannon and husband Don of Millersville, MD, and Helen Moore of Apple Valley, MN; a brother-in-law, Cyrus Bresnock and wife Patty of Marriotsville, MD; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Charles Moore.
Family and Friends may visit from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, 125 E. Main Street, Dayton, PA.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 2, 2010, at the Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Laurie Milligan officiating.
