Vera Romaine "Toots" Brink
Vera Romaine “Toots” Brink, age 84, of Kittanning, PA, died on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Kittanning Care Center.
She was born on April 22, 1926, in Kittanning, Armstrong Co., PA, the daughter of Arthur and Laura (Wingard) Stroupe.
Romaine was a member of the First Methodist Church, Kittanning, and also a former member of the Mt. Union Reformed Church. She enjoyed needle point and drawing and had a passion for trying new things. Romaine will be best remembered for her zest for life and her love of meeting new people.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edwin and Lamont Stroupe; and a sister, Geraldine Craig.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Tim Brink of Kittanning; several nieces and nephews; Gerald Stroupe, Dan Stroupe and Leslie, Jack Stroupe and wife Roberta; Arthur Stroupe and wife Vicki, Beverly Walker and husband John; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.
Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM with the Rev. John Snyder officiating.
Burial will follow at the Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ Cemetery, Cowanshannock Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.
