Mary Ann Clark

Mary Ann Clark, age 84, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Petrolia, PA passed away Friday, October 11, 2013, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice, in Wilmington, NC.

She was born in Butler County, PA on July 26, 1929 the daughter of Raymond John and Evelyn Margaret (Pugh) Geibel.

Mary Ann married Howard M. Clark on July 26, 1957 and they shared 55 wonderful years together prior to his passing on November 15, 2012. She was a member of the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church of Chicora. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Mary Ann was employed with Corbett Builders Supply as an office manager/bookkeeper for many years. She and Howard moved to North Myrtle Beach following retirement to be closer to their son.

Her hobbies included bowling, golfing, and card club. She also enjoyed bingo, majong, and was an avid reader. Mary Ann was a kind woman with a loving heart. Her family will always remember what a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister she was to them and their love for her is eternal.

She will be dearly missed by her loving son, Samuel Clark of North Myrtle Beach, SC; her granddaughter, Grace Clark of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Jim Geibel and his wife Virginia 'Rosie' of Chester, WV, and Earle Dean Geibel and his wife, Tonya, of Karns City; four sisters, Martha Berteotti of Butler, formerly of Petrolia, Gertrude Berteotti of Chicora, Velma Louise Hosick, of Sharon, PA, and Vivian Pennington and her husband Dale of West Sunbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard M. Clark; a son, Stephen Clark who died in 2010; three brothers, Wendelin, Bernard and Marcus Geibel; and two sisters, Catherine Rose Robinson and Margaret Ace.

Relatives and friends may visit from 1-2 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 102 Argyle Street, Petrolia, PA, where a memorial blessing service in celebration of the lives of both Howard and Mary Ann Clark will be held at 2 PM with the Reverend Joseph Pudichery as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia, Pennsylvania.
