Betty L. Meyer Good

Betty L. Meyer Good, 88, of Home, PA, formerly of Smicksburg, PA, went to be with her Lord Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Communities of Indiana Haven, Indiana, PA.

She was born July 30, 1925 in Indiana County, PA to Willis W. and Esther S. (Davis) Frederick.

Betty was a lifetime resident of the area and graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1942. She was an active member of the Smicksburg United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer for 24 years and belonged to the United Methodist Women's organization, where she also served as president. Betty was a Gold Star Mother and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #995 of Dayton.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel Meyer and wife, Cynthia, Home, PA, and Edward Meyer and wife, Donna, Indiana, PA; daughter-in-law, Julie Meyer, of Home, PA; step-sons, Donald Good and wife Judith, of Tampa, FL, Richard Good and wife, Isabel, of Smicksburg, and Michael Good and wife, Joyce, of Smicksburg, PA; step-daughters, Joann Condron and husband, Charles, of Indiana, PA, Glenda Bureau and husband, Joseph, of Export, and Lois Good, of Blairsville; granddaughters, Heather Park, Charynn Olsheski, Charelle Rivosecchi, Andrea Rachubinski, and Jessica Meyer; great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Keaton, and Gage; 12 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and brothers, James Frederick and wife, JoAnna, of Brockway, and Wendell Frederick and wife, Shirley, of Smicksburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest G. Good, whom she married July 18, 1986 and who died October 7, 2010; first husband, Lynn D. Meyer who died April 23, 1978; sons, Franklin D. Meyer, who was killed in Vietnam in 1970, and Delbert Meyer, who died May 17, 1998; and brother, Warren W. Frederick.

Friends will be received from 2-6 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, Inc. 125 East Main St., Dayton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Howard officiating.

Interment will be in Georgeville Cemetery, Smicksburg, PA.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Communities of Indian Haven for the excellent care Betty received over the past four years.
