Howard F. Warner, 92, of Ford City, PA, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

He was born December 30, 1922 in Armstrong Co., PA, the son of John William and Catherine Caroline (Theuerl) Warner.

Howard was a lifelong resident of the area and honorably served his country during World War II in the US Army as a combat engineer in the southwest Pacific. Howard was employed by Pittsburgh Local Union #449 as a steamfitter with over 40 years of service until his retirement in 1986. An active member of Rockville Lutheran Church, he served as a past council member and a past choir member, singing with the group for over 50 years. He was also a past member of the Christian Brotherhood. Music was a large part of Howard's life and he enjoyed listening to many genres. One of his favorite pastimes was playing the guitar and mandolin with groups of friends. Along with his wife, Annabelle, Howard went on numerous camping trips and attended many bluegrass festivals, forming many special relationships over the years.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 66 years, M. Annabelle (Hawk) Warner; son, William H. Warner and wife, Vickie, of Ford City; grandsons, Matthew G. Warner and Michael H. Warner and wife, Susan; and several nieces and nephews.

Howard was predeceased by his parents; brothers, John, Joseph, Russell and Edward Warner; and sisters, Germaine Butz, Dorothy Gray and Catherine Kutzler.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.

Additional visitation will be from 9 AM until the time of funeral services at 10 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at United Rockville Lutheran Church, 720 St. Rt. 2020, Ford City, PA, with Pastor Beth Hawk officiating.

Burial will be in United Rockville Lutheran Cemetery, Ford City, Pennsylvania, where military honors will be presented by the American Legion Honor Guard.
