Stephen E. "Steve" Blatt
Stephen Eric "Steve" Blatt, 67, of Shelocta, PA, passed away on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 at his home unexpectedly.He was born on March 11, 1958 in Indiana, PA, the son of George D. and Ethel L. (Wisilosky) Blatt.
Steve devoted most of his life to setting up manufactured homes and was the proud owner of B & B Mobile Home Service. He cherished the opportunity to work alongside his son, Eric, teaching him the business and sharing his knowledge. A hardworking and skilled craftsman, Steve knew how to fix just about everything. He enjoyed working on automobiles and had a fondness for his Mopars. Family was the most important thing in life to him and he was always willing to lend his support. He looked forward to babysitting time with Ella and Ev. Steve will be remembered as being a wonderful husband, dad, pappy, and friend and will be missed deeply.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 38 years, Kim D. (Bowersox) Blatt whom he met during their junior high school year. Steve was the dad to his three wonderful children that he loved deeply and was very proud of - Danielle Smith and fiancé, Baylee Summerhill, Hannah Blatt, and Eric Blatt. His grandchildren, the light of his life, Ella and Everett Smith who loved their pappy. His brothers, Edward Blatt and wife, Bonnie of California, and Michael Blatt and wife, Sandy of Latrobe, PA; numerous nieces and nephews, his wife's family which he was very close to, and his special pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Blatt; sisters, Margaret Evanick and Mary Brehm; and brothers-in-law, Thomas Grau, Roger Craig, and Terry Peters.
At the request of the family, services will be private.
