Dennis Scott Horner

Dennis "Scott" Horner, 69, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on July 2, 1956 in Butler, PA, the son of Dennis E. and Yvonne E. (Tremba) Horner.

Scott was a 1974 graduate of Union Joint High School. He grew up in Rimersburg and later lived in DuBois before returning to Rimersburg in 2018. For more than 30 years, he was self-employed as an HVAC contractor, taking pride in his work. Scott previously attended the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Rimersburg. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage, watching NASCAR, fishing and traveling to Florida.

His memory will be cherished by his mother, Yvonne Horner of Rimersburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Dennis E. Horner, who passed away on Dec. 8, 2021; and his brother, Christopher Horner who passed away March 31, 2022.

Family and friends will be received from 1 PM on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 until the time of services at 2 PM at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg with Pastor Dan George officiating.

Interment will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA.
